pic Redigobius New species
Discovered in 2003, and is probably Fiji’s rarest endemic freshwater fish. Restricted to Vanua Levu, this species is threatened by invasive introduced fish and excessive gravel and boulder removal from its habitat. Ecology unknown.

Wildlife Illustrations

Fiji’s finest wildlife artist, George Bennett, has been painting the wildlife of Fiji and the Pacific for over 25 years. In Fiji he is best known for over 50 sets of stamps, the majority of Fiji wildlife subjects. He has taken commissions on wildlife for several of the international NGOs and many private individuals. George has generously agreed to donate 25% of the proceeds of any sales to NatureFiji-MareqetiViti.
