07/01/2010 - Nunia Thomas
Did you get your NatureFiji-MareqetiViti 2010 International Year of Biodiversity Calendar?? If you did, please do write to us and let us
know about what you think of the calendar. We would love to get some feedback from you!
Don't forget that you can still support us through becoming a NatureFiji club member or donating funds, time, expertise, equipment to us for our research projects.
Below is an overview of how our calendar sales went:
The calendars
went on sale at the beginning of August 2009, with 1,000 copies
printed. Thanks to the conscientious salesmanship of Maikeli Nalatu, come the end of November 2009, we had to order for 300
more copies as the orders came streaming in by the numbers. As of the
first week of January 2010, the International Biodiversity Calendars became officially
SOLD OUT.
We acknowledge the support of our dear club members, life members, and corporate sponsors
in their sales and purchase of the calendars.
A big VINAKA VAKALEVU
to Mr. Stuart Chape for the donation of his wonderful photographs. No doubt, many of us have yet to visit the beautiful places he has captured for us in picture.
A huge VINAKA VAKALEVU to our sales consultant Maikeli Nalatu whose networking skills and conscientious research gave the calendar a wider coverage than just the conservation and tourism sector and our club membership.
We hope that through the production of the 2010 International Year of Biodiversity Calendars we all will have a greater appreciation for the unique biodiversity of our Fiji Islands; and that these may not merely be photographs but still be in existence for our future generations.
From all your friends at
here NatureFiji-MareqetiViti, we would like to wish you all a veryHappy and productive International Year of Biodiversity!!
