Anna Sahai was one of the 36 successful applicants to the World of Difference Programme offered by Vodafone ATH foundation.
The Vodafone ATH Foundation presented its World of Difference Programme with funding of $36,000 on the 28th of August 2010, to enable 28 charity organisations to employ 36 applicants, one of which was NatureFiji-MareqetiViti.
Anna Sahai had proven her worth by volunteering with NFMV and had been busy assisting in the set up of NFMV’s library system, and also assisting in the production of biodiversity awareness materials to incorporate into the school curriculum, targeting students from mid to upper primary school levels.
With this experience behind her, Anna independently applied to the
Vodafone ATH World of Difference Programme. Both Anna and NFMV were
thrilled when Vodafone announced that they would support Anna for a
period of 4 months, beginning September 13, 2010.
Anna will work on four projects – NFMV’s Permanent Forest Estates project where she will be in charge of organising and initiating the analyses of the attendee’s evaluations of the discussion forums to be held in Vanua Levu.
She will then assist with more library work and incorporate the natural history collection of Environment Consultants Fiji into the NFMV Library.
Following that she will be working with the Nadarivatu Secondary School to build up their conservation resource centre. And in her final month Anna will work with NFMV’s Fiji Sago Palm Project.
Well done Anna !!
