Although a plump and rather inactive bird, the Ketedromo, or Fiji Whistler (Pachycephala vitiensis), is primarily an insectivore. It catches insects in a variety of ways, including aerial assaults on flying insects, leaf snatching, gleaning, and occasionally probing into crevices. It does also feed on fruit, but stick insects are its favourite food! The Ketedromo builds its nest from small twigs, rootlets or vine tendrils, but it decorates the outside with leaf detritus and sometimes even with spiderwebs.
