The Australian Aid Program in Fiji have awarded NatureFiji-MareqetiViti with a $37, 000AUD “Infrastructure and Capital Grant” to purchase a new office vehicle and multi-function copier/scanner.

These two pieces of equipment are much appreciated and will enhance our capacity to implement our community-based conservation projects.

Particularly, for our “Creating Permanent Forest Estates” awareness campaign around Viti Levu.

The new vehicle will allow us to get to the remote land-owning communities or ‘mataqali’, more safely and efficiently.

The copier/scanner will be used to compile the feedback forms and digitally store this valuable information from the communities that own and use Fiji’s forest resources.

Many thanks to the Australian Aid Program staff of the Australian High Commission for the grant award.
