Tui Macuata, Ratu Aisea Katonivere died last week in a tragic boating accident

NatureFiji-MareqetiViti’s Council and members and the Trustees of the Fiji Nature Conservation Trust are mourning the passing of Tui Macuata, Ratu Aisea Katonivere who died last week following a boating accident during a fishing trip to the Great Sea Reef.
Ratu Aisea was NatureFiji-MareqetiViti’s first Patron and his acceptance of our traditional approach to him was a highlight of the establishment of the organization.
A NatureFiji-MareqetiViti party will travel to Naduri at the end of the week to attend the reguregu and the funeral on Saturday 27th April.
Collectively we extend our heartfelt sympathy to Ratu Aisea’s family.
