Ana Lutua joined NatureFiji-MareqetiViti as an intern in August 2018, where she is involved in the Young Conservation Leadership Project and helps conduct socio-economic surveys in various communities. She is also engaged in conducting pre-harvest inventories for a conservation project relating to soga, an endemic and endangered Fijian palm. In addition, Ana assists with research and data entry, and provides administrative assistance.
Ana is currently studying at Fiji National University toward a degree in Forestry, and wants to learn more about invasive species eradication as well as wildlife management. Her aim is to get more involved in conserving endemic species.
