NFMV coordinator invited by PII to attend meeting

NFMV coordinator, Nunia Thomas was invited by the Pacific Invasives Initiative to attend a meeting on the design of a Resource kit for rodent and cat eradication projects in the Pacific from the 6th – 7th April, 2009 at the Tamaki Campus of the University of Auckland.

Fiji was represented by Nunia Thomas (NFMV) and Elenoa Seniloli of BirdLife International – Fiji programme.

Other countries from the region included Western Samoa, Kiribati, New Caledonia and New Zealand – all of whom have also conducted rodent and cat eradication projects.

We will be posting updates as they come; please feel free to send us an email on queries or suggestions.

Please send us an email to confirm your inclusion in our distribution list.

Your comments will help us shape the resource kit to better serve future rodent and cat eradication project managers in Fiji.

We sincerely thank Souad Boudjelas, Batiri Hughes; Jo Ritchief of PII and their team for inviting NFMV to the meeting.
